RAÚL RAMÍREZ "Kigra"
Nacido en la ciudad de Chihuahua el 11 de marzo de 1980, Raúl Alberto Ramírez Pérez, ‘Kigra’, cursó sus estudios de Diseño Gráfico en la Escuela Superior de Comunicación Gráfica de la Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua. Su trayectoria como fotógrafo documental se aprecia en una variedad de exposiciones de entre los cuales destacan:
“Muertes en la Esperanza” en 2004, una serie en plata sobre gelatina donde nos muestra su repudio hacia las corridas de toros.
“Vidas”, serie fotográfica documental consistente en vivencias enmarcadas en el día a día del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social también en plata sobre gelatina, año 2006.
“Revolución: Luz y Sombras”, para conmemorar el Centenario de la Revolución Mexicana en el 2009.
“Y Dondequiera, la Luz” un pequeño homenaje a la escencia de la mujer en 2010.
“Teatro Mexicano Actual” colectiva para el INBA con una muestra del teatro mexicano expuesta en la ciudad de Cádiz, España (2012-2013).
“Más allá de lo tangible” una introspección personal con paisajes abstractos chihuahuenses a blanco y negro el año 2017 expuesta en Casa Chihuahua Centro de Patrimonio Cultural.
“Cosechas en Nuestro Horizonte” primer exposición individual de un artista en el Museo Menonita de Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua en 2018, entre otras.
BECAS Y RECONOCIMIENTOS
En 2005 recibió el Premio de Ilustración “Immagini e Pensieri” en la 50ª edición del Festival Internacional Sagra del Mandorlo in Fiore, de Sicilia, Italia.
Fue acreedor al Estímulo a la Creación Artística David Alfaro Siqueiros, en la categoría de Creadores con Trayectoria en 2009.
Mención Honorífica en la edición 2010 del Premio Chihuahua a las Artes y Ciencias.
Recibió la Beca FOMAC en artes visuales por parte del Instituto de Cultura del Municipio de Chihuahua en 2019.
Beca Fomento y Desarrollo Cultural en Investigación por el FONCA 2019.
Beca de Investigación por la Plett Foundation de Canadá en 2019.
TRAYECTORIA
La calidad de su trabajo le ha permitido llevar a cabo varios proyectos comerciales y artísticos con clientes en varios estados de la república mexicana, como:
La documentación fotográfica de obra y retrato de grandes artistas chihuahuenses para el catálogo de artistas del Ichicult en 2010.
Fotógrafo oficial de la Muestra Nacional de Teatro para el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes los últimos once años ( 2009 a la fecha ).
Fotógrafo oficial del Festival Internacional Chihuahua en trece ediciones.
Diseñador gráfico y fotógrafo oficial del reconocido Ballet Folklórico Mixcoatl llevándolo a varias regiones como Gyeongju en Corea del Sur, Sicilia en Italia, Bought Saint Maurice en Francia, Sultanato de Oman en Arabia, Nueva York en Estados Unidos y varios estados de la república mexicana.
Asimismo ha realizado la foto fija para varios proyectos audiovisuales destacando la producción de una película al lado del fotógrafo chileno Sergio Armstrong y el director venezolano Lorenzo Vigas en varias locaciones del estado de Chihuahua.
Generó el material fotográfico para seis foto-novelas en idioma rarámuri y co produjo la biografía del pianista rarámuri Romeyno Gutiérrez para el Programa Institucional de Atención a Lenguas Indígenas del estado de Chihuahua en colaboración con el Maestro Enrique Servín (DEP).
Ha sido juez para eventos culturales con varios institutos culturales y educativos como: Artebús Resiliente para el ICM de Chihuahua, PECDA Nuevo León, National Geographic, la Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia, Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, Cobach, Universidad Regional del Norte, Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Instituto La Salle y PACMYC para el Instituto Chihuahuense de la Cultura.
Born in the city of Chihuahua on March 11, 1980, Raúl Alberto Ramírez Pérez, ‘Kigra’, studied Graphic Design at the Superior School of Graphic Communication of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua. His career as a documentary photographer can be seen in a variety of exhibitions, among which are:
"Muertes en la Esperanza" (Deaths in Hope) in 2004, a series in silver on gelatin where he shows his rejection of bullfighting.
"Vidas" (Lives), documentary photographic series consisting of experiences framed in the day to day of the Mexican Institute of Social Security also in silver on gelatin, year 2006.
"Revolución: Luz y Sombras" (Revolution: Light and Shadows), to commemorate the Centennial of the Mexican Revolution in 2009.
“Y donde quiera, la luz" (And Anywhere, the Light) a small tribute to the essence of women in 2010.
Collective “Teatro Mexicano Actual” for the INBA with a sample of Mexican theater exhibited in the city of Cádiz, Spain (2012-2013).
"Más allá de lo Tangible" (Beyond the tangible) a personal introspection with Chihuahuan abstract landscapes in black and white in 2017 exhibited at Casa Chihuahua Patrimonial Cultural Center.
"Cosechas en Nuestro Horizonte" ( Harvest in our Horizont) first solo exhibition by an artist at the Museo Menonita de Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua in 2018, among others.
GRANTS AND AWARDS
In 2005 he received the “Immagini e Pensieri” Illustration Award at the 50th edition of the Sagra del Mandorlo in Fiore International Festival, in Sicily, Italy.
He was awarded the state grant to Artistic Creation David Alfaro Siqueiros, in the category of Creators with Career in 2009.
Honorable Mention in the 2010 Chihuahua Award for Arts and Sciences.
He received the FOMAC Grant in visual arts from the Institute of Culture of the Municipality of Chihuahua in 2019.

TRAJECTORY
The quality of his work has allowed him to carry out various commercial and artistic projects with clients in various states of the Mexican Republic, such as:
The photographic documentation of work and portraiture of great Chihuahuan artists for the Ichicult artist catalog in 2010.
Official photographer of the National Theater Show for the National Institute of Fine Arts for the last eleven years (2009 to date).
Official photographer of the Chihuahua International Festival in thirteen editions.
Graphic designer and official photographer of the renowned Mixcoatl Folkloric Ballet taking him to various regions such as Gyeongju in South Korea, Sicily in Italy, Bought Saint Maurice in France, Sultanate of Oman in Arabia, New York in the United States and several states of the Mexican Republic.
He has also made the still photo for several audiovisual projects, highlighting the production of a film with the Chilean photographer Sergio Armstrong and the Venezuelan director Lorenzo Vigas in various locations in the state of Chihuahua.

LIBRO: Y DONDE QUIERA, LA LUZ
Su libro “Y Dondequiera, la Luz” registra la experiencia e investigación resultante de un exhaustivo trabajo documental en torno a las vidas de doce mujeres chihuahuenses, fue publicado a finales de 2012 con apoyo del Instituto Chihuahuense de la Cultura y el Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, en él participan personalidades como la escritora Elena Poniatowska Amor con el prólogo, el fotógrafo David Lauer Reed con un análisis de la obra y Janeth Rogelio, escritora emergente del estado de Chihuahua que complementa la serie con sus textos. El libro fue presentado en el Museo Chihuahuense de Arte Contemporáneo Casa Redonda, el Palacio de Bellas Artes en México DF., las XXXVI y XXXVII Feria Internacional del Libro del Palacio de Minería en México DF, en la Sala Carlos Fuentes del Consulado General de México en Phoenix, Arizona. USA. y el XXIV Festival de las Tres Culturas en Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, entre otras sedes.
